Here's some info about me. Click here to go back to the main menu
I'm from Tonbridge in Kent, UK, where I've lived for most of my life. After leaving The Judd School, I went on to get an MEng in Civil Engineering with Computing at the University of Surrey in Guildford. During my time at uni, I worked for a year with international engineering and management consultants, Mott MacDonald, before returning to work there as a graduate geotechnical engineer in 2000.
I've been involved in various geotechnics projects, gaining experience both on-site and in design and management of geotechnical schemes. Since 2003, I've moved into the applied GIS (Geographical Information Systems) field, and am involved in a number of projects for the Highways Agency. Primary responsibilities include specification, alpha and beta testing, and user documentation of the software and systems we are developing. In addition to this, I have built up a variety of web programming capabilities, with experience in ColdFusion, SQL/mySQL, PHP and Javascript/DHTML.
Outside work, I have a big involvement with my church, Tonbridge Baptist Church, where I am particularly involved in a lot of children's work, including leading a Boys' Brigade section. I have also recently completed a redesign of the church's website, including programming a full events diary manager. (Why not take a look at what's happening at TBC in the next 7 days?)
Well, if you've read this far, thanks for reading! Now go back to the main page and take a look round the websites I'm currently working on!
